Medical and surgical care was excellent but not so happy with the admin departments.
1. My name was wrong on all the labels on the paperwork at admission. They had to be corrected and reprinted. This did not inspire confidence!
2. As a self funding patient I felt a bit like a second class citizen, as there was an excessive mentioning of payment on every correspondence and message I received. I always paid the invoices as soon as I received them but then after discharge I received a second invoice for the same payment. This was a shock and very distressing.
3. I understood before admission that the cost quoted was to cover the whole procedure and associates charges, however I found a second routine follow up appointment after surgery was not included. Nor was the considerable cost of the second course of medication prescribed. I think it should be made clear to patients that considerable extra costs may be incurred.
The Manor hospital staff are very friendly and looked after me very well. Impressed with the post-surgery care provided to me. I highly recommend.
I cannot fault my Consultant, he has been professional and attentive with a great bedside manner and I would have rated him at an easy 5. However the same cannot be said for the admin team, or lack of. It is almost impossible to get anyone at the hospital to either answer a phone or return a voice message or Email. It is a real shame that a good hospital is being ruined by shocking communication and admin. You have been warned!
Staff and service was excellent.
Room temperature circulation was a little hot (not the coldest fan) but other than that no complaints
The team at the Manor Hospital has been both incredibly professional and empathic during the entire process. I always felt in good hands before, during and after my surgery.
At The Manor Hospital it is like being at home.
Care is wonderful as there is always a nurse asking how you feel and do you want any help.
I must say that the nurses have more work and problems to deal with compared to my stay when the hospital was in the Banbury Road.
Clean
I did have problems getting an initial appointment (they would contact me and I would respond straight away, but I then heard nothing for nearly a month until I called and chased. I was then seen with a week. Due to a cancellation I was able to have my op the week after my consultation and the care I received from everyone I had contact with before and during my stay was excellent.
Every nurse and doctor I came in to contact with at The Manor Hospital was kind and caring and knowledgable. I felt completely safe and at ease here
This was my first experience as a hospital inpatient, and I can’t fault anyone or anything at all. This goes from my greeting at reception to being shown to my room, meeting the medical staff, ordering and receiving food, and my actual care.
